Breaking Changes
HelpSpot 5.5.0 release notes had breaking changes. If you are upgrading from a earlier version please review the HelpSpot 5.5.0 release notes.
New Features
- Spanish is now a supported language in HelpSpot!
- On-premise installations that use Windows can now download a .exe file that self-extracts the helpspot file, dramatically speeding up how long many Windows servers take to unzip HelpSpot during upgrades & installations.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue with email headers containing accented characters that resulted in mail not properly being pulled in to HelpSpot.
- Fixed an issue with how Reporting Tags are displayed on the Add & Edit Category pages that resulted in the full names of tags not being displayed properly.
- Fixed an issue with how some IMAP providers (namely Zoho & Mailo) handled archiving email once HelpSpot imported what was in the inbox.
- Fixed an issue with Category assignment serialization for on-premise installations that use Windows SQL Server.
- Fixed an issue with SMTP sending of image attachment files that would trigger some outbound spam filters.
