Pricing for existing customers/older plans?
Existing customers should login to the store to see pricing for their plan or contact sales for a quote.
Who is an Agent?
HelpSpot pricing is calculated on a named user basis. Named Users (agents) are staff and managers needing log-on access to HelpSpot for ticket management, reporting, or system administration. Only active staff members count towards the license total. If a staff member is marked inactive their license slot can be reused. Customers do not need licenses and there are no limits on how many tickets you can track in the system.
Cloud vs Server options?
With HelpSpot Cloud, we host and setup your HelpSpot site in the cloud for you. This is often the best option for teams who want to get started quickly.
With HelpSpot On-Premise you host HelpSpot on your own hardware and you're able to customize your setup however you'd like. Control the database platform, backups, and direct database query access.
Pricing is the same for both Cloud and Download usage.
Is there academic or non-profit pricing?
We're happy to offer a 15% discount to qualified not for profit organizations and academic institutions.

Do you have a free plan?
The free help desk software plan is for HelpSpot On-Premise (download) installations of up to 3 agents with forum based support. Named user logins may not be shared. The free plan is also limited to 3 mailboxes, 1 portal (the default portal), and includes a powered by HelpSpot link at the bottom of emails.
